PATA Gallery of Legends was founded in Honolulu on January 15, 1952, the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is committed to the development, growth, value, and quality of travel and tourism to and within the Pacific Asia area. The Gallery of Legends is located on the north side of the open-air walkway to the E Gates.
Statehood Mosaic Mural
For the 50th anniversary of Hawaii’s statehood, which was in 1959, there is a big mosaic mural, and it's located at terminal 2, concourse E, Diamond Head breezeway. It is made up of over 8000 unique images. It was a gesture of tribute for Hawaii's state.
As mentioned above, there are not only Japanese but also Chinese and Hawaiian, which were designed by Richard C. Tongg, FASLA, in 1962.
